I bought the Miller Digital Elite a few months ago and feel like I have had enough time to give an honest review. I weld outdoors for weeks. I spent two months 8 hours of welding, grinding and cutting with this hood. This hood is way better than the Millier Classic I bought a few years ago to get my welder's license. Digital Elite has a much larger viewing window, more customization options, and different modes depending on what you're doing. For example, if you're switching from welding to grinding or cutting, it has dedicated modes for just those tasks that work great. XMode was a big plus for me on this hood along with all the other features. I often weld in a strange position that partially blocks the view. Even with sensors blocked, the hood will darken as soon as you start the arc. Just make sure your sensitivity is set correctly depending on how far you run. It flared up at me, but I welded something where I was stretched as much as I could while partially blocking my vision. But as soon as I increased the sensitivity, the lens hood worked fine. Can't say enough good things about this helmet. Very comfortable even wearing 8-10 hours a day, and the HD screen is like welding in high definition. The technology is amazing. Cleaning and replacing parts of this hood is also very easy. Even with my face 6-12 inches away from work all day, the smoke barley grain went through the pad. My only criticism of this hood is that I'm not a huge fan of the headgear suspension system. Although very comfortable, I feel like it loosens up on me after a while and I adjust and tighten it several times throughout the day. I think it's a small price to pay for how well this hood outperforms every other aspect of my welding job. Also, I can always swap out the headgear for something else if I want. I would highly recommend this lens hood or Digital Infinity to anyone looking to replace or upgrade what they have. The only difference between this hood and the Digital Infinity is the size of the viewing window, the Infinity has an alarm clock, it can track how long you've been brewing and gives a digital readout explaining what each mode is doing. I chose this because I didn't need all the extras and the viewing window on the Elite is quite large.
