I am a novice boater (less than 2 years of sailing experience) and bought this to allow me to sail further than sight from the jetty and to identify waypoints for my style of fishing. Comes with standard SD and Micro, easy to plug and play with the main unit. I use it for Sam Rayburn, TX and Toledo Bend, LA/TX. If you've traveled around Toledo Bend before, you'll appreciate this feature when it comes to boat trails, especially on the TX side. After each severe weather event, the O/W buoy markers will most likely be turned off depending on currents during the storm. This chip keeps you on course while the buoys are moving. On Sam Rayburn, this helps define the forest area when the water level in the basin is high. An excellent navigation tool that is very useful for locating specific areas for fish patterning. Highly recommended for any beginner sailor.
