Review on 🌡️ LCD Digital Thermometer Reptile Terrarium Heat Pad – Adjustable Power Under Tank Heater Mat for Pets, Small Animals, Seedling (MQ 5-20W) by Rebecca Bright

I know this product is for terrariums but decided to buy this to add a little extra warmth to my low tech 2 gallon Red Cherry Shrimp bowl . - I was a little nervous about using an actual aquarium heater because a malfunction could quickly overheat the water in such a small bowl. I found this heating mat to be a good way to slightly increase the temperature with less risk of overheating. I've been using it for about a week (and also use the included thermometer) and am very satisfied so far. The water temp has gone from 66F to 72F and my shrimp seem to be much more active and less lethargic at higher temperatures. I'm hoping this will also allow me to turn off the heat in my apartment when I'm out of town without risking the temperature getting too low for the shrimp. The only thing that bothers me is that the temperature scale on the heating pad is not marked. in any way (no temperature settings, or even small markings that would allow you to roughly determine what level is best for your installation). Otherwise I'm happy with the product and will update my review if anything changes.
