These toast sticks are strong, long but can be very compact and have rubber tips so my 3 year old's eye stays intact when he is older when the brother or sister decide to use them as swords. They stretch to the point where you can comfortably sit in a chair next to a beer fire and not move at all while roasting ribs. Most of the energy goes into getting another beer or a bun for the given brat. I would like to note that the marshmallow glides well. To the point where my 10 year old almost lost a marshmallow in the fire pit but decided it would be best to throw herself at my feet. (I had a graham cracker and a cup of PB for his s'mores.) I dodged fast enough for the marshmallow to fall to the floor and not burn my bare skin, which would have left a scar to remember him forever until my death. Oh, and I also appreciate the little case they come with.
