These toast sticks are strong, long but can be very compact and have rubber tips so my 3 year old's eye stays intact when he is older when the brother or sister decide to use them as swords. They stretch to the point where you can comfortably sit in a chair next to a beer fire and not move at all while roasting ribs. We really enjoyed using these skewers! They are as colorful and practical as described. They stretch up to 45 inches and don't bend; They can be easily adjusted for weight distribution. The only disappointment was the storage case; torn in the zipper area. You can tell by the blue and green stitching that this particular bag could be an old throwback - so disappointing! It would be nice if we could get a spare storage box. If it weren't for this problem, I would have given this item five stars.

I loved the concept and used these skewers for about 2 years before eventually breaking or losing enough to justify buying a new set. I will NOT buy them again and here is why: 1) The two skewer teeth are not parallel. As such, they work great when you put an item on each side, but you can't put an item (like a hot dog or marshmallow) too far on both prongs at once.
