I bought this item to help me convert two folding doors into French doors. These little brackets mount to the top or bottom of the door where the door is hinged and help hold the cheap cardboard in the folding door strong so the door stays on the hinge. If you are remodeling double doors or just reinforcing them to make them more durable, do yourself a favor and buy 2 sets and do the top and bottom of both doors at the same time. It's a lot easier than waiting for the box in the door to break and hoping you can find the other half of a set of 2. Make sure you measure carefully - there are several different sizes for this item, all within 1/16 of an inch. each other, and as you might suspect, that's important. A great must have product that I had to order from Revain as none of the local hypermarkets stocked it.
