This Minix adapter has 2 disadvantages that are non-negotiable for me

I like to do technical reviews and test gadgets. If you like reviews and check them out before you buy, visit my OndaWire YouTube and Facebook channel where I test and review many tech gadgets. Let's talk about this Minix Type C 8-1 adapter right away. Advantages: 1. This adapter is very thin. I have several adapters and this is the thinnest of them all.2. It has any port you want.3. No drivers need to be downloaded. This is a simple plug and play adapter.4. This delivers an output of up to 100 watts. I like this because I have a newer 2019 16" Macbook Pro that needs 96W for power and this adapter powers it with no problem. 5. The price of $74 is very reasonable for this adapter. Micro SD card reader that reads, writes and transfers data up to 5 GB. You can also use both card readers at the same time! 7. I like the Thunderbolt 3 port as it displays 4K and 5K videos at 60Hz. YES! 8. There's also an HDMI port that displays 4K at 30Hz. You can mirror or extend these monitors. .It can be easily added to a bag, purse, bag or bookshelf and is ideal for travel. I went to Florida and took this with me and it saved me. I needed dual screen and ethernet and it worked flawlessly in my hotel room. 10. When I used this adapter I was really surprised. It doesn't get hot at all and I worked for several hours. It was a big plus! Cons: 1. If you have a MacBook case, it won't work! I've added an image showing that the adapter with my case on my MacBook doesn't fully fit into the ports. My case is very thin and even has a large port cutout. With that cutout and ultra-slim body, the adapter just doesn't quite fit, rendering it useless. You MUST REMOVE THE CASING from your MacBook to use this adapter. I like to keep my MacBook in a case simply because it costs so much and it's a hassle to take it off every time to use this adapter.2. I store my MacBook on an adjustable laptop stand. When I remove the case to use this adapter, I plugged in an Ethernet cable, hooked up an additional monitor through the HDMI port, plugged in a MacBook Pro charger, and I used the USB-A ports to charge my laptop to keep external. The speaker is charged and connected. The only thing I noticed is that the cables connected to this adapter pull the adapter down and that scares me. This scares me because I don't want this adapter to bend my internal parts of the two USB-C ports I'm using. This seems to happen when I'm using it for a long period of time and I've paid too much for my MacBook Pro for this to happen. Overall, I still really like this adapter. Minix is a great company with very good quality products. I have many of their products from adapters to Android TV boxes and absolutely love them all. As good as this adapter is, I'm giving it 3*** stars simply because having to constantly remove the MacBook Pro sleeve every time I want to use this adapter gives me a headache. Considering I paid so much for my MacBook Pro, I really want to keep it in a case to prevent scratches and absorb shock should I drop it. Having a case on my MacBook is a must. Cons #1 and #2 are non-negotiable for me, and while the 9 pros stand out as GREAT, I just don't want to risk it. IF you don't need a sleeve for your MacBook or laptop, then this is a MUST!
