Poor build quality and poor accuracy at an expensive price.

I figured if I paid a little more maybe I could get an accurate kitchen scale that would stand up to actual use. Think about it, how often do you buy, for example, a bathroom scale that is designed for a person's weight and doesn't cost much more than this kitchen scale. The description of the scale I ordered states that it has a "robust construction". The scale I received is cheap thin plastic. I don't see it being used in anyone's kitchen. Even if it were rugged enough for kitchen use, which it isn't, its poor accuracy means it's useless for cooking or eating. Can we even call it accuracy when they differ by 30 percent even after repeated calibrations? As inaccurate, poorly made, overpriced scales, they are amazing. As something you would want to use in your kitchen to weigh food for cooking, baking or eating, this is a terrible waste.
