My old roommate had one of these giant block stacking games that was much bigger than this and didn't come with a die. It was a really fun set to use, especially for outdoor summer BBQ type parties. Once he moved out, all the outdoor party games went so I needed to get some for myself. I saw this set, and really loved that it was a much darker wood tone. When it arrived, the oversized block stacking set was definitely smaller than the set my roommate had (his were basically the size of 2x4s cut into pieces), but honestly, I like it more. This is a perfect size that it can be fun for a bigger outdoor party, but it's not soooo big that playing it on a table seems dangerous as the stack gets tall and you don't have to worry that the stack is going to collapse and knock you out! The edges of each piece are very cleanly cut with no splinters or dings or anything like that, and the oversized die is super cute. I love that it provides an extra versatility to the game so that it can be played the traditional way or with custom rules. The carrying case seems sturdy enough and it even came with a little white board for scoring. Super happy with this purchase and absolutely would recommend!
