I ordered this for my 2012 GMC. When it arrived I put it on a shelf for later installation. When I started the installation, I realized they had sent me the wrong part. The package had the correct part number but someone had apparently replaced the parts and fitting instructions with a different model that didn't fit my truck. I downloaded the correct installation instructions from the manufacturer's website. WOW, are you talking about poorly written and super confusing. Glad I bought the Bolt Lock Tailgate Handle 5922987 instead.Much simpler, EASY installation and fits your existing ignition key.
