Review on Intermatic WP3103C Outdoor 1 Gang Round Box: Clear and Versatile Solution for Outdoor Installations by Ricardo Mercado

For reasons that are unclear, Revain claims that this product is "frequently purchased with the Hubbell-Bell PRBA400G Round Box Adapter", when clearly this product (Intermatic WP3103C) has an almost identical adapter in the box. You do NOT need to buy a second adapter plate. That being said, the adapter plate and "used" socket works very well outdoors, typically for removing a wall light installed outdoors and using this device to connect Christmas lights around your home. So you can turn on your decorations in your home with the push of a button. The adapter comes with plates that fit GFCI outlets or regular outlets for safety. The device should have worked fine, but it turned out that my brick was a bit uneven and I couldn't get the plate to "seal" as it kept flexing. It would require too much silicone to seal properly. So I went with Plan B and bought a round external junction box extension, plugged 3 of the 4 holes and just "wired" the light directly to the circuit. Not my first choice but works well. The only complaint about this product is that the instructions are very matter of fact and in fact they omit the step that you have to place a foam pad between the adapter plate and the base assembly!
