They looked good straight out of the box, but after washing them with regular towels before first use, they came out of the dryer covered in dirt. Very thin pile built into the material so it doesn't feel like a little static cling, it was securely attached. I can't stand fluffy items, especially when I'm washing everything and everything in my kitchen. Although they are very soft, it feels like rubbing your hand over them after washing, like drying chapped hands that seem to scratch the material. From now on I'll stick with the good old 100% cotton terry cloth. They went straight into the bin in the garage for me to use.
