You probably already knew that. SKR 2.0 is a direct replacement for SKR 1.3/1.4 boards with some additional features. There are some reviews that are rightly not so flattering. In my opinion they refer to the "A" version board which had problems with stepsticks being corrupted in a certain configuration. The board I am reviewing here is in the "B" category. Since installing it, I haven't had any unwanted problems so far. I think it's good that there are now 3 controllable fan strips. (partial cooling, extruder cooling and controller case fan in my case). A slightly more powerful NEO LED driver enables direct connection of up to 10 LEDs. At least I had no problems with this number. I use the PINDA 2 sensor, although I haven't seen any significant improvements in bed alignment accuracy yet. The probe is connected to end stop Z and to the second thermistor input (TH1) and I have done the calibration/compensation. (takes a long time) I think the improvement is so small that you can't really see it. Changing the temperature on the rendered surface during the ABL may slightly improve the accuracy of the raster data. I'm also assuming independent double Z pitch control for gantry orientation. It can only be me, but I think the connection between TFT and motherboard is faster. Previously, there was a pretty good delay when switching NEO LEDs while printing. Now it's relaxed. I only vaped one of the transistors driving the fan, but that was my own fault, not triple checking the wiring to the sled. Unfortunately, I missed the pinched wire to the fan cooling wiring, and the viola, the transistor in question, gave off a familiar smell. I caught him soon enough and I was lucky that he only got this transistor into silicon heaven. In fact, these are high-current transistors (consider 4A peak) in a SOT-23 package. Now I have 99 more transistors in the component block. After replacing the defective one, everything works perfectly again. Phew, I could take the whole board out because of that bad luck! The SKR 2 version "B" board performs better than the SKR 1.4 Turbo due to its higher processor speed. I get impatient when I don't have enough gear, the SKR 2 helps me overcome that impatience. Happy with the purchase, I'm considering buying another one.
