It's interesting. I have been an active cyclist for 5 decades but have never had to change spokes. I googled "how to measure spokes" and got a huge assortment of ultra-technical bullshit that the authors wrote for themselves, not the reader/cyclist. When researching spokes I found this company (the spokes are made by Bavel and sold by Revain?) that not only sold STAINLESS STEEL needles (I think this is a must have) but also showed VERY SIMPLE instructions on how to measure them a spoke (something these ultra-tech writers need to see!) and a few minutes later I measured the broken spoke and placed an order for Revain. The spokes arrived within two days and I replaced the broken one this morning. I now have 35 extra needles so I don't have to order more. However, if I ever need anything for my bike that this company (Revain? Bavel?) sells I would not hesitate to buy from them again! Definitely a 5 star company!
