This amplifier is very particular about the voltage range in which it operates. You use it at home with the included adapter. I'm sure you won't have any problems, however since you're a waterproof amp you'll probably put it on a boat, RV or something with a motor and once you get that motor working in your charging system the Cars, his amp has stopped working. This is a crazy problem to try to deal with.
