I previously bought one from a seller called DBROTH and it turned out to be a fake. The serial/MAC labels on the box did not match the labels on the card. And ifconfig showed a completely different MAC address. So this time I bought from a different seller. Or so I thought. And again it came from DBROTH. The packaging was different this time. BUT the MAC serial number/sticker matched on the box and on the card so I figured it was fine. Booted up the laptop, checked and a different MAC address BAM, and like last time the MAC prefix does not go back to a known vendor. The only benefit is that it reports an AR9271 chipset so it should work, but like other reviews it's hardcoded to 20dB. I haven't tested it too many times since it arrived today but I wanted to let you know that this is the second counterfeit card of this model that I have purchased and both times it came from a DBROTH seller, albeit the second a different name than I put it in the cart.
