Review on πŸ’¦ Astor CB-1000 Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment - Fresh Water Spray, Non-Electric Mechanical Upgrade by Bernard Foley

I was not impressed by this bidet head

I bought this bidet head based on the good reviews and ignoring the negatives that some have mentioned. While I love the concept of a bidet head, this one didn't work for me. Installation was pretty easy and simple. However, the base was too thick to properly fit my toilet with a toilet seat (I tried 2 toilets with 2 different seats). As you can see in the picture, this makes the toilet seat float over the edge of the toilet. Aesthetically I could live with that, but it resulted in the toilet seat and nozzle being unstable and sliding around when using the toilet. It also sometimes caused the bidet head to slip backwards slightly, causing the water spout to get caught on the edge of the toilet when trying to use it. Leak in the middle of the hose for the first 4 days. Luckily that happened when I was home to catch him and not when I was working the 13 hour shift or I would have come home and found the ruined carpet in my bedroom. I went back to a cheap hose that was previously connected to my toilet and had no leaking issues. The water pressure at the bidet head was also very erratic. Sometimes the water flow would start when the low setting was on. On other occasions I had to turn it on almost to the max before it would turn on and then it would cause a nasty explosion. I can try another brand of bidet heads to make sure they don't have these issues. I liked the hygienic aspect of the bidet head when it was working properly, but the quality of this bidet head leaves a lot to be desired.
