I was very happy to try these highly acclaimed needles. I bought 2 pairs of 2.5mm needles for several pairs of socks. After completing two pairs of athletic socks, I noticed that the yarn was sticking out. When I looked at the needle I saw that the finish on both needles was worn. My fingers smell like metal when I use them.eeeeee! The tips are fine, but the rest of the needle has lost its finish. Unfortunately I didn't finish the socks before the defective needle return deadline, so I'm sticking with it and am very upset. So much for the great addi brand. I think I'll go back to my cheaper Knitters Pride needles. The connections aren't quite as perfect, but don't lose their finish.
