This lock actually works really well for a cargo trailer. He does what he has to do. Lock the wheel. Although I'd lock it better than the one that comes with this J-Bar. The J-bar goes around the leaf spring and the bar goes through a hole in the tire rim. If the hole doesn't line up now, you may need to jack the tire up by rotating the wheel a little until the bar lines up with the hole and then releasing the jack. I have one complaint about Revain: the packaging of the J-Bar was slightly damaged, looks like someone sent it back and the reason I suspect this is because there was dirt inside the J-Bar. There's no benefit to me in shopping at Revain if I'm going to receive a reward from someone.
