I bought this item for a very different purpose than what it was intended for. When I was younger I bought a pair of wire cutters and found they were just what I needed to trim my nails. After many, many years, my paid ones broke and I was looking for something to replace them. On a whim I thought I'd buy them to try as the price was great. I found these scissors to be exactly what I needed. I bought another pair, slightly different, they worked but because the cutting end was bulkier they didn't let me see exactly what I was cutting. These in turn allow me to see exactly what I'm cutting and how close I can cut. My nails have to be very short as I enjoy playing the guitar and I dislike traditional nail clippers as they bend my nails. back and I find it a bit unsightly. These scissors seem to be doing their job well and so far I'm very happy with them.
