Didn't work for me: Exhaust and Emissions

I have a 2002 Mustang and it says this part will fit. It might fit and maybe I just got the bad part. I replaced the dpfe sensor (exhaust gas recirculation pressure feedback) and the EGR vacuum regulator at the same time. My DPF was so old it broke in the pipe, luckily I managed to get it out. I started my car and it ran like crap like there was something wrong with the air. Hard at idle, stalled, sounded like it was almost backfiring. I thought I screwed it up and dropped a piece of the broken DPFe in, but just to make sure I put the old EGR vacuum modulator back in and it works fine. So I don't know what's wrong with this part, but it didn't work for me. Also, the electrical connector on this one is very tight, you could hardly plug it in.
