Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Enhance Your Woodworking Safety: GRR-RIPPER 3D Pushblock for Table Saws, Router Tables, Band Saws, and Jointers by MICROJIG by Lloyd Edwards

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good for small jobs, not great otherwise

Context: I am an experienced woodworker and use this product with a full size 10" circular saw, typically on furniture and joinery not cigar boxes or Extensive advertising for this product. Claims to be a thrust block for all operations on a table saw (and other woodworking machines). Pros: Good construction. Sturdy plastic, no sharp edges, etc. Works great with small pieces of wood <18" long and <3" wide Cons: Expensive for what it is and you'll keep gouging with every "extra" that should come standard . You cannot use the standard blade guard with this block. The wood is over 3" wide, the blade is exposed a shim block between the stop and thrust blocks Too tedious and time consuming Does not provide positive feedback control as suggested in the video, standard safety guards etc prevent the wood from backing into the user Once the wood gets longer than 18 inches need 2 blocks and even then it becomes problematic and the combination of a push rod and a standard old fashioned T old fashioned. Safer, more likely the board won't come off the fence. Keep your hands off the blade. Every cut is different, such as e.g. cut or not, size etc. This is useful as one of several devices for pushing/guiding wood. This is not the ONE tool you should be using.
