This product works well with some modifications. I place a second tie behind the foam pad to more securely attach the drain extension to the downspout; The single zip that came with the product was not securely fastened when placed over the foam padding, resulting in the extension detaching from the downspout. There are also problems with the extension becoming clogged with debris that accumulates in the gutter (mainly leaves). To deal with this, I first removed the clip on the end of the extension to allow water and dirt to freely pass through the extension. Second, I will manually remove debris from the extension through the open end of the extension whenever debris clogs the extension. So this product is not perfect; however, I haven't found anything better. Another problem with this product is that it doesn't last very long and needs to be replaced quite often; I've had to replace it twice in the last year.
