Fold a sheet, roll a rug

Obviously the rug had been folded into a neat little square for some time, to the point that the rubber backing had stress marks in it from being folded. Even after putting it through the dryer, it came out with folds so that it wouldn't lie flat. Hopefully time will help flatten it because I've tried a variety of ways to no avail. Someone needs to tell the manufacturer that you roll a rug when transporting it, you do not fold it, and definitely don't leave it folded over a long period of time. I have until 3/13 to return it so if it doesn't flatten by then, I will FOLD it into a neat little square and send it back.
