In the picture the piece that came off was my polygel. I had to use many coats of remover to get rid of the THICK polygel. As you can see, all the carrion came off my nail! You feel like your nail is getting tight, but it's just the gel itself that's being removed from your nail plate and "shrinking" in size to allow it to be removed. This is a good product! This product has reduced the damage to my nail plate compared to when I pulled the nail from my fingers. I recommend this product.
