Zoo Med Heat and UVB Basking Spot Lamp

This was the wrong combination for my Zoo Med Double Dome lamp. Reading is essential because it would save me a lot of trouble and some money. This combo seems to consume too much power to work together so it was my fault they failed. Both light switches were on, so when I screwed in the UV lamp, the bulb worked. The incandescent lamp burned out immediately, and the UV lamp burned out shortly thereafter. Again, this is not the right combination to use in the Zoo Med Double Dome lamp. The UV lamp also hangs well below the floor of the dome. The combination of Zoo Med infrared lamp and Powersun works best for me. You just have to be careful not to run both at the same time. Powersun about 8 hours a day, then infrared or heat lamp.
