Review on 🔵 Akebono ACT1094 Proact High-Performance Ceramic Disc Brake Pad kit, in GREY by Gus Gutierrez

Like all Akebono pads I've used, they're low dusting and great for NVH. Braking distance and bite are about the same as the OEM. Time will tell how long it lasts and if performance holds up over time. I was hoping for slightly better performance over the OEM and might have used performance pads instead. I was disappointed that the friction material on the pads is about 3/16 inch narrower side to side than the OEM pads. that Akebono would like to offer as much surface area as the OEM. While it was nice to get the full kit with the stainless steel parts included, the fit wasn't that great. Although the OEM struts snap into the caliper bracket and hold tight, the brackets that Akebono supplies are a loose fit and it's very difficult to slide the pads into the brackets as they keep trying to loosen and slip. Maybe it's better to clean and reuse the old OEM mounts to avoid disappointment.
