They stick and cover the paint of the wall

I wanted to update my kitchen walls and tried many things before attempting this. Honestly this was my first preference but I've read so many bad reviews about sticky tile sheets falling right off the wall. I tried to stencil the wall but it ended up overlapping and I decided not to continue. I needed something that would stick to the wall and not fall off and something that would not reveal the design behind it. This product is all of that. The sheets are strong but thin enough not to be heavy. To test adhesion I foolishly taped one to the wall and when I tried to take it off the paint peeled off the wall. This is not good for tenants! However, it's great for me as a homeowner who doesn't want to deal with the maintenance of this stuff. The backing is a durable foil material which means the patterns on the wall are not visible through the white tiles. BTW, unlike other similar products I've bought (and immediately returned), these tiles are WHITE and not off-white. The tile feels like very thin rubber but rubs off like a dream. I've seen some people say they cut off the "overlap here" part of the sheets, but it wasn't necessary for me and it didn't add thickness to those areas on the wall. I would recommend this product to anyone who is new to the game and wants the look without the expense or all the work that comes with real tiles. Everyone I know thinks my tiles and grout look real. I'm sold!
