Review on Enhanced Viking 2.5 Quart Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Kettle with Mirror Finish by Wendy Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice. in crockery

Beautiful teapot. It's not particularly heavy and the stainless steel isn't that thick, but it's clearly a cool, well-constructed kettle. The handle is comfortable, does not heat up, rises at a good angle for pouring and filling. The surface is quite bright/glossy. Although Viking claims the kettle's base has a thick aluminum core embedded in stainless steel, it's not a thick base even with the aluminum core added (which isn't visible). The whistling spout is nice, as is the tempered glass top. So you can see the progress of cooking. To be honest, many of the more expensive kitchen items I've had were a bit heavier than this kettle. That doesn't mean it doesn't boil water well and doesn't last long, but its lightness does surprise me a little.

Pros
  • Teapots
Cons
  • Nothing here
