I should have thought more about it before buying but I had a small job of flush cutting about 8 feet of pine boards on the roof of my boat. Using the smallest diameter bit to make the router easier to work with, I was able to cut about 18 inches before the bit became too dull to cut. The only job this bit set might do is trimming soft and thin materials like veneer. I doubt it will work well with plastic laminate. Milling cutters are something you shouldn't buy for the price but for the quality. When this set failed I went to a local hardware store and bought a good quality 3 flute bit and it got the job done with no problem.
