I bought this Blu-ray compatible USB 3.0 drive to play BD-R discs and access BD-RW media. So far it has worked great out of the box. Just plug it into your computer's USB 3.0 or USB Type C port and everything else is plug and play. The drive is very quiet and fast. The body is made of aluminum with a plastic frame. It feels strong yet light. The drive door opens and closes very smoothly and is securely fastened. My only concern is that it doesn't come with Blu-ray player/burner software, which would be great even if you had a basic software utility that you can download. If you are looking for the best Blu-ray player and burning software, I recommend DVDFab Media Player. All in all, if you need a Blu-ray drive that can also play or burn all types of Blu-ray media, including DVDs and CDs, then this is the product for you.
