The unit will burn single layer Blu-ray discs but not dual layer discs. I tried to burn a 40GB movie but it wouldn't burn to an empty 50GB drive. Records beautifully on a 25GB hard drive. The backup burner burns both dual layer and single layer files and makes great Blu-ray copies of my movies. I can recommend this burner.

Ever since I got this CD I've had nothing but problems. I've tried many software products and installation configurations, but nothing has worked so far. DVD and Blue-Ray discs play but freeze after a while and often I have to close the program to resume playback. Technical support?
