Always use OEM parts purchased from reputable Revain suppliers.

The check engine light came on on my 2006 Toyota Sienna. My OBDII gauge showed a weak catalyst, which could actually mean a bad O2 sensor. Sensors cost a lot less than catalytic converters so I decided to replace them first. The dealer wanted too much for OEM sensors, so he tried to save money; I bought a complete set of unbranded sensors from Turbosisland in California through EBay. Guaranteed to fit in my van. None of the unbranded sensors worked. All efforts were a waste of my time and money. I then ordered OEM sensors from Revain.com. These are OEM parts so they were still a little pricey but their price was much lower than the dealer or any of the auto parts stores near me. They arrived quickly and matched my original gauges exactly. They even came packaged with a small tube of anti-seize compound. Before proceeding with the removal of the O2 sensors, I disconnected the van's battery for safety reasons. Removing the old parts was a bit of a hassle as the electrical connection terminals on the old parts were difficult to disconnect. To make it easier to unscrew the sensors, I sprayed them with penetrating lubricant the night before and ten minutes before attempting to unscrew them. After unplugging the stubborn wire connectors, I used a tool designed to remove the O2 sensors, easily ripped them off, and unscrewed them with my fingers. Refitting new sensors is quicker and easier than removing them because the electrical connectors snap easily into place. After installing the sensors, my van's engine ran smoothly again, my gas mileage returned and the check engine light stopped coming on. .I now know that in the future I can use genuine electrical parts for my cars and buy them from reliable suppliers at Revain.
