Zip Ties are included as they are necessary for a secure fit. Although I missed it, the description says it. We use this for guinea pigs and it works great. We assembled it, secured it with zip ties and now we fold it the same way as our dog guards. We put it outside so they can play while we clean their cage or hang out. We're closing the outer gate and it's secure enough to keep the piggies inside. It is small which is convenient for storage. Ours were out in a hot and rainy Florida summer and they are holding up great.
