Review on 🧵 GIGA HOOP D - Optimized for Janome Memory Craft MC 300, 350, 350E, 9500, 9700, 1000 and 10001, Bernina Deco 330/340, Elna 8200, 8300, and 8600 Embroidery Machines by Amy Mcleod

It was just awful but I didn't try to use it fast enough to return it. I know how to use the overlay feature needed for this hoop (it can't expand the sewing area on your machine, it just saves you having to re-hoop the fabric to create larger designs). Since this tire is much larger than my car was designed, it should be able to support itself fairly well (often more than half of it sticks out of the car) simply by its plastic frame and a bolt-on attachment. Unfortunately, this cannot be done consistently, leading to numerous embroidery offset problems. There are two areas where it fails: 1. The plastic frame is just too flimsy to support itself, not to mention the amount of fabric the hoop can hold, 2. The metal plate and screw won't attach to the Fasten machine. almost as durable as my original Janome tires. In other words, the front of the tire (farthest from the bolt) has too much play. This means the embroidery will not line up consistently, especially if you remove the hoop and have to rearrange and reattach the plate + screw on the other side to complete your design. The Giga Hoop would have the same issues (due to the size of the hoop), or if the plastic was thicker and stronger, and if the screw plate was more secure (like my original hoop). I have a standard B size embroidery hoop (the largest that came with my machine and the largest sewing area it can accommodate) and it fits securely and works great. So if you buy this or any other Giga Hoop, be sure to test it out before the return period expires in case you run into the same issues. If I can test a real Janome Giga Hoop for these issues I will update this review to reflect if it has the same issues.
