Buy these base plates on December 1st, 2019 Finally the weather allowed me to install them. After some very good guidance from previous reviewers, I was easily able to cut the existing hole, install the baseplates and insert the spikes, which I was able to obtain free of charge. As the photos show, not many tools are needed for this. Forgot to turn on the cordless drill with the torx bit provided by the manufacturer. Haven't had to lug anything and secure with plates and slats yet, but I'll change my estimate if it goes north or south.
