This rug proves that you get what you pay for. As other reviewers have pointed out, the background is gold rather than cream or beige. It never straightened up even when heavy weights were placed on it for 24 hours or more. Also, we had an irregular weave that almost looked like a seam running from the edge almost to the middle of the rug near the center. Due to the wavy surface and design flaw, we decided to give it away instead of attempting a return due to shipping difficulties. We have bought other larger but more expensive rugs online and have been very satisfied. They were all made by the same company. This is the first and last time we will order from this manufacturer. It would be a wise purchase if it was useful. Instead, it was an expensive lesson in how manufacturers can do without quality control.
