For a 5,000lb rating these jacks are very fragile and unstable so the jacks should be bolder and heavier in weight and caliber despite the very wide base, I bought those heavier ones with no intention of increasing their max rating and knowing the potential risks of using scissor jacks I gave myself this buffer twice as much as I had ever planned to lift. These bushings aren't worth the money I paid, about $20 with little use, and I bought two of them, stupid of me. I have other lighter scissor jacks that are three times stronger. I plan on returning them, hopefully I can do that as I have a lot of things to do. If you have and use these jacks please take extra care and use other jacks and stands with them or simply do not use them at all and never attempt to increase the amount they are designed for.
