Functional. suitable for cross stitch
Two sets or 4 pieces are needed to hold the canvas. I had to tap the pieces lightly with a hammer. Holds an 8x8 canvas well. Not very durable but will last a long time if not treated roughly. I used them on a small canvas, can't tell how it will work on a large one. Actually, four should be sold. I received an email saying it might be delivered in a month and another email saying it had been sent. I wondered where the hell that came from. However, it arrived the next day just before prime time.
