This is a reader and just what I needed for the counting canvas project. I prefer these skinny bars over the wider, thicker ones. They are lighter and fit better in the hand.

I bought them for cross stitch on canvas and I am very happy with my purchase. They are lightweight but can be a little brittle for use on a heavier needle canvas.

My review here relates mainly to the cost of the stretchers. The bars themselves are relatively easy to assemble, and the resulting frame holds up well, especially after the canvas is attached. However, I don't think I'll be using them for large projects. I have reused a set several times and will likely be able to use it again. The price here is outrageous. Even with free shipping on Prime, you can do it a little better elsewhere - about $4 less.

Two sets or 4 pieces are needed to hold the canvas. I had to tap the pieces lightly with a hammer. Holds an 8x8 canvas well. Not very durable but will last a long time if not treated roughly. I used them on a small canvas, can't tell how it will work on a large one. Actually, four should be sold. I received an email saying it might be delivered in a month and another email saying it had been sent. I wondered where the hell that came from. However, it arrived the next day just before prime time.
