I got tired of moving bikes and when they were hung they were either difficult to reach or took up too much space as they were sticking out of the wall. I saw them on my Revain "You Might Also Like" feed and tried them out thinking I could "fit" some bikes into less wall space. Road bikes were used in the ad, which makes sense with handlebars that aren't as wide as mountain bikes. Although the old adage says measure twice, this setup requires a little more modeling from time to time. I'm the type to measure and sketch all the dimensions before drilling. Even with this approach, I shifted the mounts for each bike a few times due to the pedal mount and how the bike will shift when the bar carries weight. It moves to the right or left instead of sitting up straight. I ended up using a ladder to hold the bike in place while I aligned the tire stays and pedal anchor. Notice that the bottom bike is offset from the top bike. This was necessary in order to overlap the grips on the bike's upper frame. If I could do it again I would reverse the direction of the bikes which I think would allow them to be closer together (top to bottom) on the wall. However, I like this storage approach. The pieces sticking out of the wall are over our heads (I'm 5'10"). My bike is at the bottom, that's what gets used the most. It's really easy to lift by removing the brackets in the pedal bracket and My wife is the least used to it so getting a step stool isn't a problem It's also a more natural way of lifting the bike off the wall than vertical hangers Highly recommend!
