The purpose of my purchase was to drill through a ceiling of cement battens with wire mesh. This is due to the cutting of the grid. The board cut well but it took a long time to get through the plank. Even though 4-3/8 is the standard size for 4" recessed lights, it fits better. My personal advice is for drywall, use a 4-1/4" bimetal or carbide otherwise use for a combination of rack and wire mesh a 4-1/4" diamond hole saw. They're pricey at $60 and up, but they work well and stay sharp for dozens of holes.
