Hello e-boys and e-girls, I understand that buying this monitor will leave a void in your bank account. Please consult his feelings and emotions before making a purchase. That's why I decided to share some of my thoughts before and after the purchase. Before purchasing history: I originally wanted to buy a 4k+ HDR 1000 monitor (Predator X27 or Asus PG27UQ) to upgrade my 10 year old 1080P monitor. for current and future games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. It was out of print when I wanted to buy it, so I stumbled upon the X35 version. I did a little research on YouTube and found that I actually get more out of the X35 compared to my previous preferences. - Higher FPS (144Hz minimum with good HDR) compared to X27 or PG27UQ (98Hz with good HDR). - More real estate. Screen size value for work from home (big advantage) -3440 x 1440p, as this resolution is 50% below 4k, you get more performance from current generation graphics cards. Another aspect I considered before purchasing this monitor is that I have a 22 inch deep desk. This monitor takes up a little over half of my desk. Also consider table space as you may be sitting too close to the screen. After purchase (2-3 weeks of ownership): - Setting up the monitor was very easy. The screen was already mounted on the included stand. However, he was a heavy beast mounted on my desk. i know i'm weak - There is no calibration because that is already calibrated for you. If you want a 200Hz refresh rate, you need to enable overclocking. I do not recommend this option because my friend (Pezky, not very relevant) said that overclocking usually reduces the life of products. I want this product to last a long time. Also, the highest default refresh rate is 180Hz. I don't think the extra 20Hz would make a difference. I updated the monitor firmware right out of the box. After some testing, I didn't experience any of the fan noise and flickering mentioned in other reviews. VA panel, yes there are black scrawls. I only noticed this when I moved the Discord app window. This was evident in the texts. I didn't notice any black streaks in other applications. This is the detail you need to find to see the blur. I want to say that this should not scare you, but on the contrary, it is not a problem for gaming and work tasks. Other reviewers have abused this to put people off. - Leave Overdrive mode on "Normal". Mine arrived with normal power on. Turning it off or cranking it to the extreme will introduce weird artifacts and halos. HDR 1000 Vesa certified. HDR is really good. Once you've experienced this, you won't want to see anything in SDR anymore. The colors are very bright and rich. Seeing the light source displayed on this screen is almost the same as seeing it in real life. It is very bright. Finally, I would like to say that I now have a GTX 1070, not even a TI. Obviously I need an upgrade. Ever since the RTX3080 was announced, I've wanted to buy it. So far I haven't had any luck because I work on a fixed schedule. I don't stand a chance against bots and people who stay connected 24/7. I asked my friend Pezky (doesn't care) for help but he's too busy playing LoL. Worst case I'll have to buy an RTX3090 if I don't get the 3080 by September 24th.
