I finally got mine so thought I'd share a few things that I've only noticed in regards to flowering issues since the first few days of use. First off, HDR is a complete game changer and for those who have never played OLED, this is by far the best gaming experience I've had, and that's thanks to a damn good IPS panel. The real thing here is the contrast offered by each backlight zone, and it just beats everything else. looks great. However, the bloom is there and definitely noticeable, but in games it only really shows up with bright white UIs over dark scenes, with really high white points (700+ nits). If you're looking at it head-on and from a decent distance (which you should be because VAs have terrible viewing angles), it's not that bad. Anyway, I don't find it particularly annoying. It's not long enough for my typical curve viewing distance, resulting in slightly washed-out colors around the edges and more pronounced bloom, so I grab a hand so I can stay closer to the wall, which should help there. As for fan noise - I haven't had any issues, my computer makes more noise. It's probably noticeable if you don't have headphones and are in a quiet room with a near-silent computer, but I wouldn't worry about it. although he's a little whiny. Another problem with VA is that it is a smear. and it's noticeable. Smooth scrolling text has halos on dark backgrounds, which isn't ideal if the monitor isn't just for gaming. I've tried every overdrive setting but they just kept getting worse. The ultra-wide screen worked great in all the games I tested, so I'm very happy with it. The extra screen real estate is good but that's not what you're buying this monitor for anyway, it's for HDR and that's really the only option for that at the moment unless you want to buy a huge TV. HDR is pretty good, maybe not quite on par with OLED, but with a brightness higher than almost any TV on the market, I think it makes up for it. If I didn't want HDR, I would have preferred the ultra-wide IPS. or something like that, but I bought this because I wanted HDR. is it worth? probably no. does this look great? that's true, and indeed there is nothing like it at the moment. TLDR: HDR is great, it's still a decent monitor without it, although I'm still not a VA fan, the blur makes it less than ideal for everything else, but not terrible.
