These automotive relays are supplied with connectors to simplify installation as you only need to connect the cables provided. no & nc describe the switch position when the coil is NOT energized. They can be connected in any way, open or closed when no power is applied. This makes them useful for more than just turning things on or off. I used one to change the normally open (unregulated) function of a 200 amp relay.
