Our box turtles are a bit spoiled and it's the only packaged food they both continue to eat willingly (others we've tried in the past have been consistently rejected ) . The food needs to be slightly damp before they take an interest in the food. I've found that a small amount of warm water absorbs faster than cold water. If feeding from a bowl/plate allow some water to soak up before offering and if using a flat surface allow the feed portion to soak up the water in the cup before spooning onto the plate. It also only seems good (or smells okay) for the first hour or two after adding water. We have been feeding this to our box turtles for a number of years now and it is the best we have found for them.
