2 clay shapers fell apart when opening the package. So I tested others and the tips came off right away, as did the silicone tip. They are not crimped or glued. After assembly, the tip was too long. Thus, the gap between the handle and the tip simply allows the tip to fit into the tip. When you buy a product, you expect it to work as intended.
