Review on πŸ’‘ Krieger 150W Voltage Transformer: Step Up/Down Converter for American and European AC Outlet, 110/120V to 220/240V, UL and CSA Approved by Victor Glatzel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Four years of use during deployment in Europe

We have 5 of the 7 capacities (and half a dozen or more 150 watt units) offered by the Krieger Transformer , from 150 watts to 1700 watts. We are currently in the 4th year of a 7 year rollout in Belgium and I don't mind telling you that we miss our American devices more than anything. Okay, Costco, Sprouts, and Home Depot are also high on the missing list, but the point is, you live in Europe and you have some sort of American electronic device that far outstrips its European counterparts. Belgians are wonderful people, but living in Europe is a difficult transition when you do more than work and sleep. For our fairly sizable collection of non-dual voltage electronics that we just didn't want to buy back or leave here. On the back we use Krieger transformers. This includes vacuum cleaners, printers, televisions, receivers, fans and so on. We ended up having to replace some of them and there were viable 220v options, but for some things like fans we have to stick to the US suggestions. Granted, our Air King fan motors probably don't like 50/60Hz switching, but we've gotten it pretty good so far, and oh my god, we use it because European fans can hardly wiggle a pen at full speed. You can see where this can be a problem as Belgium can have very hot summer temperatures and the whole country seems to hate central air with a passion. So you're stuck in a house with portable air conditioners, which aren't exactly efficient when the temperature hits triple digits F, and fans when it gets too hot to work with the windows open. Thank you Krieger Transformers for everything you do for my Air King Floor fans! Speaking of windows, did you also know that Europa doesn't like SCREENS on windows? And this is the mosquito center! Thanks to my chop saw and, you guessed it, a 1700W Warrior Transformer, I finally made my own screen inserts for the windows of our house to combat the demonic mosquito infestation. Yes, and the necessary parts to manufacture the window screens are provided by Revain US and their APO shipping policy. So trust me these Krieger Transformers are the real deal, they can run 24/7 without overheating and last so long. as you need them. Highly recommended.
