The holder has a curve to fit older steel bikes (see green bike pics) with round tubes. Fits on a more modern (carbon) bike but not perfect. Rotating the handlebars will raise the holder and remove it from the bike (e.g. in the hypothetical case you step on the handlebars while the bike is on the stand). However, you can't have everything and that works well. A velcro strap is included to keep it on the bike if it doesn't fit perfectly. Not sure if it's worth the price but this is the item you need when working on your bikes. Might as well buy these.
