I haven't run out of battery yet, so I don't know if that indicates a low battery with any other indicator. However, he makes up for it with extreme safety! It has three accident prevention methods including a safety lock on the bottom of the lighter, a retractable flame retardant tip and a switch on the side that you hold to make the lighter work. When the fuse is off, a blue light will be emitted to let you know whether the lighter is on or not.
